It was back in mid-June that Motorola made the Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus official. Definitely more on the low-end of the spectrum, the Android smartphones offered modest specs at an even more modest price.
For the Moto E4 — which featured a 5–inch 720p display, quad-core Snapdragon 425 or Snapdragon 427 processor, 16GB storage, 2GB of RAM, 8MP rear / 5MP front facing cameras (with a selfie flash) and 4G LTE — you were looking at $130. Definitely not bad as a starter device or for someone looking for a backup phone.
The Moto E4 Plus spiced things up a bit with a 5.5-inch display and massive 5,000mAh battery complete with rapid charging. The camera was also increased to 13 MP along with a larger 32GB option. The E4 Plus starts at $180.
Now we already knew Amazon’s Prime exclusive versions would be coming along offering pretty nice discounts in exchange for lockscreen ads. Today the Moto E4 Plus Prime model is now officially available for pre-order from Amazon, priced at $140 for the 16GB model (normally $180), or $160 for the 32GB model (normally $200). While the 16GB sure it tempting, we wouldn’t advise every buying anything under 32GB to avoid the headache of running out of storage down the line.
The Moto E4 Plus supports all networks in the US, making it the perfect device to keep around in times of an emergency should you lose or damage your primary phone. If you’re interested in checking it out, hit up the link down below.
