LG’s X500 can play 20 hours of video without charging

LG has announced the X500, their new affordable smartphone for someone who wants something that lasts all day. It’s sporting a 4,500mAh battery, enough to go for 20 hours of straight Netflix bingeing, LG says.

Beyond that, it seems like a fine device for its modest $284 asking price. It makes use of a 5.5-inch display, a 13-megapixel camera on the rear (joined by a 5MP snapper for the front), and more.

Other details on the device weren’t available, but word on the street is that this is the LG X power2 rebranded for Koreans. If so, expect a middling MediaTek 6750 chipset with 2GB of RAM under the hood for power. It hits Korean store shelves this Friday.
