Samsung Galaxy S9 begins development under the codename “Star”

0

The Samsung Galaxy S8 has only been available for about a month, but that doesn’t mean Samsung hasn’t started on the Galaxy S9. According to a Korean publication, the S9 and S9+ are codemaned “Star” and “Star 2.” Development has already begun.

Apparently, Samsung has started development 3 to 4 months ahead of schedule. We don’t know why Samsung is starting early. The Galaxy S8 was very well received, but perhaps Samsung wasn’t happy enough. Or they just want to make sure to continue the upward trend since the Note 7 debacle.

Whatever the case may be, this is just the first of many times we will hear about the Galaxy S9. Eventually, we’ll know what “Star” means and everything else about these devices.
