The Galaxy S8 will gain support for Google Daydream this summer

0

Last year, Google announced the Daydream VR program. So far, only Google’s own Pixel devices support the Daydream program. We’ve been wondering when other OEMs will support it. That should be coming this summer.

According to Google, the Samsung Galaxy S8, Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus, and LG’s next flagship (LG V30?) will support Daydream. The support will roll out to the Galaxy S8 in a software update this summer. LG’s device will presumably come with support out of the box. Samsung is a big get for Google, especially considering Samsung has a competing platform.

Do you own a Daydream headset? Do you care about VR at all?
