Sprint announces “Magic Box” to boost signal inside buildings

0

Have you ever been in a building that has terrible cell signal? Most of the time you can rely on WiFi, but sometimes cell signal is your only connection. So what do you do? Sprint will soon offer customers a “Magic Box” to solve the problem.

The device is literally called Sprint Magic Box. It plugs into any standard outlet and acts as a LTE signal booster. The box has aa dedicated cellular channel that connects to the nearest Sprint tower. The only catch is you have to place the box near a window.

The Magic Box will first be available to businesses, but consumers can sign up right now to see if they qualify. Sprint’s network is notoriously bad in some places. A device like this can be great if your house doesn’t get good signal, but is it enough to fix Sprint’s network issues?
