The latest OxygenOS Open Beta brings new call gestures to the OnePlus 3T

0

OnePlus is constantly tinkering with its software for the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T. The company has announced a new version of its OxygenOS Open Beta software which includes quite a few UI changes.

The biggest update here comes to your phone application as there are some new gestures for you to use with incoming phone calls. With the new update, you can now swipe down to answer phone calls, or swipe up to reject an incoming phone call. A few of the stock applications have also received an update to the UI, making them more aesthetically pleasing to use and include the Messages, Settings, and Contacts applications.

Key updates in this build:

  • New dialer and incoming call interface
    • We created a new answering mechanic to go along with the refreshed UI below: Swipe down to answer and swipe up to reject an incoming call
  • UI optimizations for Messages, Settings, and Contacts
    • Refreshed UI
  • New action bar for Messages and Settings
    • Collapsible and expandable action bar (more to come in the future)
  • Optimized high power usage notifications
    • Optimized the system which notifies you when apps are using a lot of battery
  • Bluetooth optimizations
  • Night mode optimizations
  • Bug fixes

Now, the update can either be applied to your device manually, or via an OTA update. However, you’re only eligible for the OTA update if you’ve already flashed a previous build of the OxygenOS Open Beta. Hit the link below and check out the latest Open Beta of OxygenOS for your OnePlus 3T and let us know how it’s running for you.
