Huawei has started rolling out Android Nougat to the Honor 6X

0

Back in January, Huawei’s sub-brand, Honor, launched its latest “flagship” budget phone with the Honor 6X. The device was highly praised in Phandroid’s review, as it earned a 4.6 out of 5 rating. However, the biggest issue with the device was regarding the EMUI 4.1 software released with the 6X.

Luckily, there’s some good information on the horizon as it seems that EMUI 5.0 is rolling out to owners. For those unaware, EMUI 5.0 is based on Android Nougat, so you’ll be getting all the best features of Nougat along with Honor’s additional software features.

The update initially rolled out to owners of the device in Italy, but it seems that it’s ready for primetime in the States. We’re checking out our own Honor 6X to make sure the update has arrived for us, and we’ll be back to report on if it has improved the overall experience.
