Samsung will fix the Galaxy S8 red tint issue with a software update

0

Earlier this week, we reported on a display issue that was happening to some models of the Samsung Galaxy S8. The issue was a red or pink tint on the display. After a year of hardware defects, Samsung can’t afford another major problem like this. Quick to quell doubts, Samsung has confirmed a fix is on the way.

A Samsung spokesperson had this to say:

“Because there are some complaints about the red-tinted screens, we decided to upgrade the software next week for all Galaxy S8 clients.”

The software update will expand the color range so users can make the red hint even lower. Samsung was previously telling people to adjust the color temperature, but users claimed that didn’t solve the problem. Apparently, they were correct. Look for the update to hit both Galaxy S8 models sometime next week.
