The latest Nougat beta brings new navigation buttons to the Pixel C

Earlier today, Google began rolling out the latest beta of Nougat for Pixel and Nexus devices. This brings devices up to Android 7.1.2 and brings a few minor changes to the Pixel, while Nexus devices and the Pixel C are seeing larger changes.

The big change for the Pixel C comes to the launcher. Google has packaged an all-new launcher with the update, while also bringing the on-screen nav buttons that were introduced with the Pixel and Pixel XL.

The Pixel C launcher also now matches that of its smaller brethren, with the new icons, folders, and Google Search widget. According to the folks at Android Police, this new launcher is “the real Pixel Launcher, not just something themed to look like it.”

It’s important to note that there may be some changes implemented today that may not make it to the final build. But it definitely seems that Google is looking to match the UI across the entire Pixel lineup.

Hopefully these changes are here to stay, and if you want to test out this launcher for yourself, hit the button below and download it from APK Mirror
