Google Home gains support for Sony speakers and Android TVs

0

Google Home launched with limited support for other smart home devices, but it has slowly gained support for more. Last week, Google Home picked up WeMo and 35+ web services. Now Sony is joining the party. Users with Sony speakers and Android TVs will soon be able to control devices with Google Home.

A firmware update will add compatibility for Chromecast built-in speakers and Android TV-equipped devices. Users will be able to say things like “play Spotify on my speaker” and “play a cat video on my TV.” All of the devices will show up in the Google Home app for you to control. Does anyone have these Sony devices in their home?

Ever since I flipped open my first phone I've been obsessed with the devices. I've dabbled in other platforms, but Android is where I feel most at home.
