Verizon introduces the perfect tablet for kids this holiday season

Verizon has a new tablet that may be a nice gift to stick under the tree for your kids. The GizmoTab is what it’s being called. As you’d expect, this thing isn’t extraordinary, especially at a price tag of $10.41 per month for 24 months (or $249.99 full retail, and for a limited time, buying one also gets you a $100 gift card for other goodies).

But it’s durable, it’s playful, it’s fun, and it’s educational. Kids get games and learning apps, and parents can set up extensive parental controls that lets you control the apps that they have access to, how much time they have to learn and play, and more. And if you have multiple children, you can have separate profiles for each child.

As for functional specs, you’re looking at a Snapdragon 617 chipset, an 8-inch 1920 x 1200 TFT LCD display, 5,100mAh battery for up to 14.5 hours of typical battery life, 16GB of storage, a microSD slot, and an LTE chip for those who need it to stay connected when away from home. You can grab it in Midnight Blue from Verizon right here.
