This is the OnePlus 3T

Yesterday we saw Oppomart leak some of the supposed specs for the new OnePlus 3T ahead of today’s announcement, but it seems someone jumped the gun over at OnePlus. The company temporarily pushed the site live but has since pulled the landing page. Instead, OnePlus has replaced the OnePlus 3T landing page with a clever little airplane game that requires you to collect blue blocks and speed around the globe.

Regardless of which, we were able to get a glimpse at what OnePlus will be unveiling once the OnePlus 3T is made official. The device comes in two new colors, Gunmetal and Soft Gold, and there are some more changes to the OnePlus 3T that previously went unnoticed by leaks.

OnePlus 3T Specs:

  • 5.5-inch FHD Display
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 Processor
  • 6GB RAM
  • 64GB/128GB Storage
  • 16MP Front Camera
  • 16MP Rear Camera
  • 3,400mAh Battery
  • USB Type-C
  • OxygenOS based on Android Marshmallow

The biggest change to the OnePlus 3T is the inclusion of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 processor. There were many leaks that alluded to this addition leading up to today, including a confirmation from both Qualcomm and OnePlus.

The OnePlus 3T will now come in a 128GB variant, in addition to the 64GB version that was released with the OnePlus 3. OnePlus has also upgraded the battery and front-facing camera. The battery has been bumped up to 3,400mAh, which should provide a decent amount of battery life compared to the 3,000mAh battery found within the OnePlus 3.

The front-facing camera has also been upgraded to 16MP, making those selfies even better. The OnePlus 3 featured an 8MP front-facing camera which was acceptable, but it’s apparent that OnePlus knows how much everyone loves selfies and took this opportunity to take advantage of that fact.

As for the rest of the device, the specs are identical to the OnePlus 3, but we are still waiting to here about pricing for the new OnePlus 3T. Will you be purchasing the new device once it goes live? Let us know in the comments below.
