The $129 Huawei Fit looks to shake up the fitness tracking market
At an event earlier today, Huawei announced a few new devices including a new fitness tracker that the company hopes will shake the market up a bit. The Huawei Fit is the newest fitness tracker to enter the market and while it won’t blow you away in terms of a colorful display, the Fit makes up for that in other areas.
The Huawei Fit features a 1.04-inch round backlit memory LCD, which helps keep the tracker going for as long as you do. Speaking of which, at first glance, the battery only comes in at 80mAh, but combined with the black and white LCD, this means great battery life.
Huawei claims the battery will last up to 6 days of normal usage, and 30 days of standby time thanks to the capacitive sensor. This sensor will put the Fit into a sleep mode after a certain period allowing you to take the wearable off and not worry about it dying right away if you forget to put it on the charger.
As for water resistance, the Huawei Fit is rated at 5 ATM, meaning you can take the Fit will be able to withstand most situations you throw it at. However, Huawei recommends that you don’t go diving with the Fit or you’re going to have a bad time.

Huawei has also included quick-release clasps on the bands themselves, something that we saw with the Huawei Watch. This has become common on many different wearables, so you can pick and choose which kind of bands you want to wear, depending on the occasion.
The Huawei Fit is priced at just $129 and comes in two different casing options, and with three different watch band colors. The Fit can be purchased either directly from Huawei or from Best Buy and other retailers starting later this month.
