Several carriers in the UK have released official statements surrounding the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, which has been the subject of a disastrous recall after several reports of replacement devices catching fire in the same manner as recalled devices. After several of these reports happened over the weekend, all four major US carriers suspended sales of the device.

The Galaxy Note 7 had yet to go on sale in the UK when this whole debacle began, but those who picked up their phones before the September 2nd street date have been able to exchange their phones through Samsung and its carrier partners.

Now both EE and Vodafone have confirmed they’re halting exchanges of the Galaxy Note 7 due to reports of replacements catching fire in the US and Canada.

Three and O2 haven’t taken any direct action over the phones yet, but all four networks mentioned being in direct contact with Samsung in order to resolve the issue for UK customers.
