Here are all 15 Motorola phones that will get Android 7.0 Nougat

0

Motorola has broken radio silence on plans to bring Android 7.0 Nougat to their devices. The company confirmed that 15 of their phones will be getting the goods eventually. Granted, 2 of the devices on the list are Verizon-only repeats, but who’s keeping score?

Anyway, devices in the Moto Z and Moto G4 family will get the upgrades starting in Q4 this year. That presumably means the rest of the devices on the list — primarily comprised of yesteryear’s flagships — will get it at some point in 2017. Here’s the full list:

  • Moto G (4th Gen)
  • Moto G Plus (4th Gen)
  • Moto G Play (4th Gen)
  • Moto X Pure Edition (3rd Gen)
  • Moto X Style
  • Moto X Play
  • Moto X Force
  • Droid Turbo 2
  • Droid Maxx 2
  • Moto Z
  • Moto Z Droid
  • Moto Z Force Droid
  • Moto Z Play
  • Moto Z Play Droid
  • Nexus 6

There’s no word on whether Motorola is still determining plans for other phones in their lineup or if the buck stops here. In any case, it sounds like most of their notable mid-tier and flagship devices are a go, so if you have those then there’s no need to worry.

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.
