Mysterious HTC Bolt heading to Sprint next month

0

We broke the news last week that HTC has filed a trademark application for the “HTC Bolt.” While there is still not real information regarding the upcoming phone (at this point, calling it a phone is even an assumption), Evan Blass has shared that the HTC Bolt will be heading to Sprint. Since there’s very little known about the HTC Bolt, we’d assume that the launch of the device is still a few months out, but it looks like it will make its debut in sometime in September.

The HTC Bolt may be a phone that’s unique to Sprint, but there’s always the possibility that it’s simply Sprint’s variant of the upcoming HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle or HTC Desire 10 Pro. We’re not sure that we want to go back to the days when HTC was making unique phones for each of the major US service providers. The days of the EVO, Droid and myTouch phones were great, but people’s smartphone choices shouldn’t be limited based on which service provider they are using.

Is anyone curious to know what the HTC Bolt turns out to be?
