Samsung may be prepping to release a Gear 360 Pro camera alongside the Galaxy S8

0

Samsung introduced the first-generation Gear 360 camera at MWC 2016 and may be prepping the release of a “Pro” variant. According to a report by SamMobile, the company will be releasing the new 360-degree camera alongside the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Edge.

Not much is known about the new camera as of yet but is expected to improve image and video quality, as well as bring additional features. Additionally, the report states that Samsung is working on a new “Gear 360 Manager” application for iOS, which will allow for iOS users to take advantage of the current generation Gear 360.

Unfortunately for iOS users, the release of the new application may take more than a few months to polish and release. But there is still hope after Samsung released a beta iOS Gear Manager application for its wearables and fitness trackers.

The Gear 360 is an interesting and unique device and one that is still being used in various scenarios. Be sure to check out what happens inside of a bird-feeder while using one of the Gear 360’s as it offers an awesome experience.
