Here’s where you can watch Samsung unveil the Gear S3 today

0

In case you have heard, Samsung’s IFA press conference kicks off today, and the company will use the event as a launching pad for the Samsung Gear S3. The device is bound to be a circular smartwatch that builds on the groundwork laid by yesteryears Gear S2. That means it should feature:

  • A circular form factor (almost a must for a smartwatch in 2016)
  • A rotary dial bezel for software navigation
  • Samsung’s Tizen OS that’s compatible with both Android and iOS devices

But more than the same features from the previous model, we’re expecting Samsung to increase the focus on health this year with the company said to be bringing up to 3 different fitness-focused variants and a slew of new activity sensors in all of them.

The time for guessing and uncertainty will soon be over, though, because the announcement is being made at 12PM Eastern. The event is being live streamed from Berlin, Germany so you can follow along using the YouTube embed above. If you want more, stay tuned to Phandroid for event coverage, including hands-on and first impressions of Samsung’s latest smartwatch.
