Lenovo Yoga Book P1210677

Hands-on: Lenovo Yoga Book features a capacitive keyboard that can create digital copies from pen & paper

The Moto Z Play and Hasselblad True Zoom Moto Mod wasn’t all Lenovo had planned for the big event at IFA 2016. Our own Nick Gray was on hand to give us our first look at the upcoming Lenovo Yoga Book, a unique take on the Android tablet aimed at anyone who loves the pen and paper feel of writing on a traditional notebook.

The sleek 10.1-inch tablet packs all the functionality you’d expect from Android tablet, but features a full capacitive keyboard area that also doubles as a notebook. What do we mean by that? Well, besides writing on the entire keyboard area itself, you can also put down an old fashioned piece of paper, write on it with a pen, and the Yoga Book will digitize it for you. Just like magic.

Inside the Yoga Book there’s an Intel Atom x5 processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage (with micro SD card slot), an 8MP camera, and an 8,500mAh battery Lenovo says will deliver 15 hours of battery life. There will be 2 models — both a WiFi-only and LTE model — when it debuts later this year for around $500. For more, check out our hands-on photos down below.
