HTC could be prepping a One A9 successor to be revealed this week

0

HTC will have a decent presence at IFA Berlin this week, it seems. Evan Blass (via Venture Beat) is reporting that the HTC One A9 will be getting a new sibling.

Not much is known about the device HTC is planning to unveil, save for a suggested name: the HTC One A9s. Yup, the original looked like an iPhone, and now the sequel will borrow its naming convention, too. Granted, HTC did the “S” thing long before many others, so we’re not mad.

Anyway, the other detail we’re let in on is its use of a 13-megapixel camera sensor on the rear, as well as a 5-UltraPixel variant on the front for selfies. That’s par for the course compared to the original HTC One A9, but we’re not sure if these sensors will be any better in overall quality. We’d hope so, of course, but we’ll have to wait for more details to see what’s what.

That’s all the more reason to stay tuned. The announcement is said to be happening September 1st, so be sure to circle back here for the details if your curiosity is piqued.
