Android 7.0 Nougat has started rolling out to Nexus devices today

0

As a previous rumor stated, today is the day that Google is releasing Android 7.0 Nougat. The update brings a whole slew of new features to the Android platform, and Nexus owners will be the first to get their hands on the update.

Google has started rolling out the Over-The-Air update to the following devices:

  • Nexus 6
  • Nexus 5X
  • Nexus 6P
  • Nexus Player
  • Pixel C
  • General Mobile 4G (Android One)

This marks the end of the line for the Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 (2013), but that’s no surprise as all things must come to an end at some point. We are still waiting for Google to release the factory images so that you can easily flash the Nougat good-ness onto your devices.

Although Google flipped the switch on the update today, it will probably be a slow-staged rollout so it may be a few weeks before the final version arrives on your device. Additionally, for those who were part of the Android N beta program, the next update received will be the final version of Android Nougat. Drop us a line below and let us know what your favorite features of Android Nougat are.
