[VIDEO] This could be the Samsung Galaxy Note 7’s USB Type-C cable

0

Based on dozens of rumors, leaked images and videos we know that the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will be the first device in Samsung’s lineup to sport the new USB Type-C port. While we’ve seen the phone’s port on more than one occasion, today’s video gives us our first look at the actual cable. As you’d expect, the white cable looks pretty similar to the micro USB cables that Samsung has been using for the past few years.

The introduction of the USB Type-C port on the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will likely be accompanied by an update Gear VR since the current-gen VR headset features a standard micro USB connection.

Do you think the current move towards USB Type-C is going fast enough? Should Samsung have kicked things off with the launch of the Galaxy S7 earlier this year?
