It’s been a very long time since a 3.5mm headphone jack was a featured spec. Thanks to Motorola and Apple, the traditional headphone jack is being eliminated from devices. The Motorola Moto Z and Motorola Moto Z Force dropped the headphone jack in favor of a single USB Type-C port. The iPhone 7 is also expected to drop the headphone jack. What is the world coming to?

Thankfully, the headphone jack will still be included on many devices. A leaked photo of the unannounced Moto Z Play shows a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Like last year, the Play model is expected to be a little more rugged and have a bigger battery. Rumored specs include 5.5-inch display, Snapdragon 625 processor, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage. In the leaked photo you can see it’s about the same thickness as the Force.
