Images of Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7 prototype make an appearance on Twitter

If you’re wanting to know what the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 looks like without having to worry about renders or anything else, be sure to thank Steve Hemmerstoffer (@stagueve) for these images. The popular leaker was able to get his hands on a “purported” Galaxy Note 7 prototype, showing off the front side of Samsung’s next Note device.

These images match up with a leaked image of the front display panel that has made its rounds, but it’s worth noting that the device looks a bit thicker than the Galaxy Note 5. That may be just the angle of the pictures, but it definitely seems a bit chunkier than before. Additionally, this purported prototype features curved edges, similar to what gives the Galaxy S7 Edge its moniker. We’ve seen rumors that the edge display would be coming to the Note 7, but this just about solidifies that claim.

As a reminder, these are just prototypes and there’s no guarantee that this is actually the Note 7. Samsung could pull a fast one on everyone and release a Galaxy S7 Edge+ similar to what the company did with the Galaxy S6 Edge+ last year.

Samsung is expected to be unveiling its latest Note device within the next few weeks, so we’re not far off from an official announcement, but that almost guarantees more leaks will be springing from everywhere before the announcement.
