HTC’s rumored Android Wear smartwatch pushed back to the fall

0

HTC has publicly stated (on more than one occasion) that it is working on a smartwatch. Unfortunately, the launch of said smartwatch has been pushed back so many times that it’s impossible to know if HTC is really ready to release an Android Wear device. We were expecting to see something from HTC at soon as June 6, but Evan Blass has revealed that things are being pushed back again. Blass does not have a specific date for when the HTC smartwatch will make its debut, but the mysterious device is now set to be unveiled sometime this fall.

HTC may have decided to push back the launch of its smartwatch due to the updates to the Android Wear platform that were announced at Google I/O the other week. There’s simply no way of knowing at this point.

Based on what we’ve seen from HTC with the 10 launch, do you have confidence that HTC could deliver a must-have Android Wear smartwatch?
