VIZIO’s M-Series Google Cast-enabled 4K HDR TVs are now available for purchase

It was not too long ago that Google quietly rebranded its Chromecast application to Google Cast so that the platform could be used for more than streaming late-night Netflix binges onto Chromecasts. At the same time of this rebrand in March, VIZIO announced an updated M-Series line of televisions that would include VIZIO’s “SmartCast” technology with Google Cast built-in. Starting today, VIZIO is selling six different models which range in size from 50″ to 80″ and range in cost from $849.99 to $3,999.99.

Below are VIZIO’s new M-Series televisions:

Each M-Series television comes with a 6″ Android tablet remote that is used to cast content onto the screen. This tablet can be used by anyone in the house to cast your favorite content from any cast-enabled application available on the Google Play Store. Additionally, you can use any other Android, iOS, or computer to cast anything you want to the television.

These new VIZIO M-Series TVs are a bit on the pricey side but considering that they are 4K, come with Google Cast functionality built in, and come with an Android tablet, the price is understandable. We should note: there is no TV tuner built in which means no OTA video.
