YouTube for Android can now Autoplay the next video just like on the desktop

Depending on who you are, YouTube’s autoplay feature is either awesome or annoying. Hopefully, it’s not the latter, because the YouTube app for Android now has Autoplay like the web. This is a server-side switch, so you won’t see an update in the Play Store. Once the switch has been flipped you’ll see a new toggle as shown above.

Autoplay works pretty much as you’d expect. When the toggle is enabled, the next video in the queue will start playing after the current video is finished. The queue of videos is shown in the “Up next” section under the current video. The toggle seems to remember its position so you’re not constantly turning it off if you don’t like it. We can’t say the same for the web version.

How do you feel about autoplaying videos? Is this a feature you enjoy, or will you be disabling it as soon as it shows up?
