After a leak showed voice mail, call back and ZIP file sharing features coming soon to the popular messaging app, WhatsApp is now preparing to roll out Video Calling. The latest beta for WhatsApp shows off an option to place a Video Call to an individual, straight from the info sharing section within a contact.

PhoneRadar was the first to show off this info and while the feature is coming to iOS first (as usual) we can hope to see it rolling out to Android sooner rather than later.

With Skype and Facebook Messenger leading the way in terms of video chatting across platforms, it’s great to see another combatant introduce new features. We’ll see what happens with this new feature and when it will be officially introduced.

In the meantime, you’ll want to check out the app and get signed up so you can take advantage of these great features as they become available. You can do so via the link below and let us know what services you use for video-chatting.
