Expect to see Xiaomi’s first smartwatch later this year

0

Xiaomi is getting ready to unveil two new devices on May 10th, the Xiaomi Max and the Xiaomi Mi Band 2. The company has been rumored to be working on a smartwatch, but nothing has been confirmed. That was true until today.

Liu De, the co-founder and VP of Xiaomi, revealed at a press conference that the company will be unveiling a new smartwatch in Q2 of 2016. Other than the general announcement of the device being in the works, De didn’t give any other information about what we’re in store for.

With the Mi Band 2 being launched in May, and it being the first Mi Band with an actual display, it’ll be interesting to see where Xiaomi goes with their foray into the smartwatch world.
