You can now share Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge’s Motion Photos as a video

We discovered the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge had a Motion Photos feature shortly after its unveiling. The feature records the few seconds of video leading up to the photo you take. Cool as it may be, the feature was a bit limited — you couldn’t really share them with anyone, as sharing the motion photo only resulted in the still being passed over.

But the latest update to the devices changes that. You can now share Motion Photos as videos. It simply comes up as a new option under the Share menu, and you send it just as you would anything else. It’s not the biggest feature in the world, but it’s always nice to have that flexibility in case you absolutely have to send that cherishable video that goes along with the photo you took.
