There are hundreds of different cases available for the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. We’re going to take a look at some specific cases in the next couple of weeks. First up is the Shine Guard from VRS Design. This is a hard plastic case with a clear back and bumper-like protection around all the edges. The most interest thing about this case is the etched geometric pattern.
The clear plastic back features a geometric diamond pattern. The diamond shapes are slightly raised at angles to catch the light. You can feel the subtle peaks and ridges with your hand. I really like the way this case feels. Some sections are completely clear while other sections imitate frosted glass. It’s a really unique look.
The sides of the case are protected by a non-transparent hard plastic. It looks like you would be able to remove the bumper part of the case, but it’s permanently affixed. The volume and power buttons are covered by the bumper and they feel really nice and clicky. This isn’t the thinnest case in the world, but it doesn’t add too much extra thickness. If you’re looking for something stylish and protective, give the Shine Guard a chance.
