Check your email: Google I/O invites are starting to roll out

Registered for Google I/O and hoping to win the big lottery? Check your email, because Google has sent out the first batch of invites to those lucky enough to be selected.

You only have 24 hours to redeem the invite, and you also have to make your payment at that time. This is so Google can reallocate unused tickets (though it admittedly isn’t very much time to act for someone with a particularly busy schedule).

Didn’t get one? Don’t worry, lads: Google usually sends invites in multiple waves, and the folks who failed to register in previous waves will have to give their invites up for people like you hoping for a second chance.

If you still run out of luck then we’re sad to say Google is prohibiting the sale or transfer of tickets, so heading to eBay isn’t going to do anything for you. You’ll just have to keep your fingers crossed, have $900 handy ($300 for students) and make sure to check your every hour on the hour like a crazy person. Good luck!
