Verizon’s DROID Turbo 2 could be getting Marshmallow any moment now

0

Earlier last month, Verizon posted an updated support page for the Motorola DROID Turbo 2 that told of an incoming Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrade. This was nearly 2 months after employees and feedback network testers got an early taste of the new goods. We’d figured Marshmallow would be out before we could say “s’more, please,” but Verizon took the page down in what eventually appeared to be a mistake.

Well, that page is back. It doesn’t have anything we didn’t know before, but Verizon didn’t rush to take it down this time so it’s safe to say we could be seeing the update roll out any moment now. Verizon will seemingly roll this thing out in 2 stages: one gets you prepared for the Marshmallow update, while the other brings it home to the real deal.

We’re not sure how much time there will be between both phases, though, so even if Verizon does start the process today it might be a while yet before full Marshmallow goodness is in tow. Keep an eye open for it over the coming days and report back with your findings if it reaches your device
