We know. It’s tough waiting for big Android updates, even more so as you watch other handsets get the latest updates and yours is feels like it’s being left behind in the dust. Android 6.0 Marshmallow is pretty awesome, so it’s understandable that you’d want it ASAP. For those with the Sony Xperia devices, the company’s official UK Twitter account is finally revealing when you can expect to receive Marshmallow, but they’re only confirming the date for a handful of devices.

Starting March 7th, Sony says you can expect to see Marshmallow rolling out to the Sony Xperia Z5, Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, Sony Xperia Z5 Compact, Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet, and Sony Xperia Z3 Plus. It sounds like more of a tentative date, with Sony mentioning that they’ll share “confirmed timings” later. Either way, you may want to mark your calendar and prepare to manually check for the update if you’re in the UK and own one of these devices.

I've been obsessed with consumer technology for about as long as I can remember, be it video games, photography, or mobile devices. If you can plug it in, I have to own it. Preparing for the day when Android finally becomes self-aware and I get to welcome our new robot overlords.
