$100 could get you a phone with 3GB of RAM, a 5.5-inch display and a 4,000mAh battery

UMI isn’t the biggest brand out there, but their latest Android phone is cheap enough for someone to think about taking a chance on them. The UMI Touch, as it’s called, is just $100 (if you’re one of the first 1,000 to buy one), and here’s what you’re getting for that Ben Franklin:

  • 5.5-inch full HD display
  • 13MP Sony camera
  • Quad-core MediaTek chipset
  • 3GB of RAM
  • 4,000mAh battery
  • Metal unibody
  • Fingerprint scanner

Sold? If you want it at that $100 price tag, you’ll have to pre-register for the device as part of UMI’s partner program, after which you’ll get a coupon that’ll take the device down to $100. Once February 17th arrives, you’ll have the chance to pre-order one and apply the coupon code, though the code will only work if you are one of the first 1,000 to buy it.

The device will be $170 for everyone else the very next day, which still doesn’t sound bad for what you’re getting. And if UMI’s shipping estimates are accurate it should start hitting doorsteps late March.
