LG officially teases the LG G5 to be announced at MWC

Rumors and leaks about the LG G5 have been spreading like wildfire. We know a lot about the device already, but we never know the full story until an official announcement. Everyone has assumed that LG will announce the G5 at Mobile World Congress. Today, we finally got an official confirmation.

LG took to Twitter to tease the G5 and confirm it will be announced on February 21st at MWC. They posted a slew of photos that feature the number five and included hashtags for #LGG5 and #MWC16. Now that we know when the device will be announced, what can we expect? Here’s what we know so far. This is what it will look like, and cases will look like this. Here are the rumored specs:

  • 5.3-inch Quad HD display
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 820
  • 3GB RAM
  • 16MP + 8MP rear cameras
  • 8MP front facing camera
  • Full metal body
  • Heart rate sensor and laser auto focus on back
  • Micro SD card and SIM slot on the right
  • IR blaster up top
  • Bottom facing speaker
  • USB Type-C
