The Sprint HTC One A9 is now starting to receive its Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow upgrade. If you don’t remember, this was the update that brought us a ton of new emojis to sink our teeth into.

There are also more general improvements that should make for an overall more pleasant experience. Here’s everything else changing:

  • Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update
  • Battery life improvements
  • Camera feature improvements
  • Addition of Wi-Fi Calling Functionality
  • System enhancements

Sprint is rolling this thing out over-the-air, and likely in stages as they always seem to do. Be sure to check for the update by heading to the Settings menu on your phone. If that doesn’t do it for you, there’s always the option of getting the update through the RUU. Do note that this method wipes your phone and requires a Windows PC, though, so be sure you know what you’re doing. You can find more instructions and info about how to do that right here.
