HTC is moving as fast as they can to get Android 6.0 Marshmallow out to their top handsets. The rollout continues today, with HTC’s Mo Versi confirming that unlocked HTC One M9 handsets will be receiving the goods within 24 hours.

Versi also said to expect Android 6.0.1 for the unlocked HTC One A9, a device which launched with Android 6.0 out of the box. Android 6.0.1 added new emojis and pushed some bug fixes and security patches live, but there are otherwise no notable differences compared to the original release.

Of course, those with carrier-specific variants of either of these handsets will have a while to wait before they’ll be able to get their hands on the update. That’s all the more reason to consider buying your next phone unlocked if these carrier holdups are starting to annoy you. To those fortunate enough to own the unlocked versions of the aforementioned phones, have fun!
