Google Play Music family plans will be available “in the coming days”

0

Google has finally announced release information for the Google Play Music family plan. The company says the functionality will be arriving in “the coming days” for those in the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, France and Germany, with other regions being added over time.

The family plan gives up to 6 family members unlimited access to Google Play Music’s 35 million tracks for just $14.99. It’s comparable to Apple Music’s plan of similar ilk, though you should note that the family plan also gives all members access to YouTube Red if you’re in the US — that’s value personified.

Google hasn’t noted when, exactly, the ability to subscribe to the family plan would arrive, but we imagine it should hit your devices before the weekend is over. You’ll only be able to sign up for the plan directly through your Android device, though family members are free to enjoy the benefits on Android, iOS or the web. Be on the lookout for updates over the next few days.
