BlackBerry PRIV US pre-orders open back up, price lowered to $699 and ships November 6th

Blackberry seemed ready to let folks in on the pre-order train for the Blackberry PRIV the other day, but they quickly took the product page down. It appears they did it because someone made a mistake — the $749.99 price tag they originally showed has been replaced by a slightly more favorable $699.99.

Mistake or response to the negative reaction from folks who felt it was overpriced? Tough to say, but the fact of the matter is that it’s cheaper and it’s time to reassess your feelings — is $699.99 too much for a phone that’s teetering on the lower side of the high-end scale?

When you can get similarly-powered devices in the Nexus 5X and Moto X Pure Edition for $300 to $400, it makes you think whether its worth its skin.
