Google unleashed Android 6.0 Marshmallow factory images for Nexus devices earlier today, but you won’t have to go through with a manual flash if you don’t want to. The company has also confirmed that the OTA updates will begin today.
We weren’t given an exact timeline, but we shouldn’t expect the rollout to happen beyond midnight as updates historically start moving out very shortly after the factory images are made available. You’ll be on the lookout for build MRA58K, and it should be headed to the Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Nexus 7 (2013), Nexus 9, and Nexus Player. We’ll be digging for OTA links and will be sure to pass them along once they turn up.
