Nexus Protect

Nothing is worse than watching your brand new phone fall to the ground. It’s as if time moves in slow motion. You hope and pray that nothing breaks, but sometimes your worst fears come true. What do you do when your phone breaks? Google is launching a new warranty program to answer that question. It’s called Nexus Protect.

Nexus Protect offers 2-years of coverage for mechanical breakdown and 2-years of coverage from accidental damage (like our sad story above). While your device is being repaired they will send you a replacement overnight to fill in the gap. As the name implies, this program is for Nexus devices. It will cost $69 for the Nexus 5X and $89 for the Nexus 6P.

What do you think of Google’s Nexus Protect program? Will you consider purchasing the plan with your new Nexus device?

Ever since I flipped open my first phone I've been obsessed with the devices. I've dabbled in other platforms, but Android is where I feel most at home.

Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P pre-orders go live today starting at $379 and $499, plus $80 in offers
