With Android 6.0 Marshmallow likely on the brink of release, OEMs are preparing to get their devices updated. Samsung is reportedly working on a very big update for their flagship phones. This list includes the Samsung Galaxy S6, Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, Samsung Galaxy Note 5, and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus.

We can’t confirm (nor deny) that this update would be for Android 6.0, but it does seem unlikely at this time. These phones are currently all running Android 5.1.1, so the update could be more about stability. If the update is for Marshmallow we don’t expect it to be ready for a while yet. Maybe Samsung is shooting to be the first OEM to bring Marshmallow to their devices. We would love to see that.
