3 More T-Mobile Samsung phones get Stagefright patches today

T-Mobile has started rolling out updates to 3 of their Samsung handsets, including the Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge. These will bring fixes for the Stagefright vulnerability uncovered some time ago.

You’ll be hard-pressed to find more than the Stagefright fix in this firmware, though it’s possible there are a couple of minor tweaks which weren’t important enough to mention in the changelog.

Here’s the firmware version you’re looking for on each device:

It’s rolling out in stages so don’t panic if you aren’t seeing it right away. Try to stay on WiFi with a fully charged battery to increase your chances of pulling it down, and sleep easy tonight knowing no one is going to be able to hijack for your phone by simply sending you a video.
