YouTube player controls new UI

We know, you probably don’t visit YouTube on the actual web very often, what with all the many Android devices at your disposal. And it may not be the biggest change, but YouTube has announced some UI changes rolling out to their player controls.

They should be up right now for everyone, with a new transparent control bar taking the place of that former iconic black bar. There’s also some neat animations that take place when clicking the play/pause button or HD gear, which is fun. It also seems some of you have been enjoy this UI update for a few weeks now but again, only now has it officially rolled out to all regardless of browser.

See it for yourself in this random ASMR unboxing video I found on YouTube down below.
