Huawei Mate 2 owners are patiently waiting for Lollipop, but if you don’t mind being the equivalent of a guinea pig in a test maze you can have it sooner than expected. Huawei is inviting Mate 2 owners to test Android 5.0 Lollipop on their phones ahead of launch.
To apply, all you’ll need to do is sign-up for Huawei’s community and leave a comment on this blog post. Huawei will select an initial group of testers at random, with more gradually added in the following days and weeks.
Not interested in using preview software? You won’t have to wait long for a stable release as the company anticipates being able to push the button and green light a rollout for everyone as soon as next month.
