AT&T has a new budget phone that doesn’t look that bad on paper. It’s the LG Escape 2, a $180 curved smartphone with a curved 4.7-inch 720p display. You’re also getting an 8 megapixel rear camera, a 1 megapixel front camera, a 1.2GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 410 64-bit chipset, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage with microSD slot, 4G LTE, 2,100mAh battery and more. It’ll be running Android 5.0 Lollipop with LG’s custom user experience out of the box.

It obviously won’t match the might of something like the LG G4 at its low price point, but if you’re not interested in paying boatloads for that sort of smartphone this certainly doesn’t seem to be a bad option. You can get it at full retail price, $.99 on a two-year deal, or $6 per month for 30 months on AT&T Next 24. Head here to order one.

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.

  1. not a bad back up phone…wish the battery was bigger and I do think better phones are out there for a bit cheaper but its still not too bad at all

  2. 1mp front facing ? May as well not have one at all

    1. They must have put it on there for me :) That’s all I need. Good enough for the occasional video chat.

  3. If it has 1gb of RAM then the phone is pretty pointless.
