Limbo, one of the best (& most disturbing) puzzle games you’ll ever play, is now on Android

Don’t look now, but one of the best puzzle games to ever be created has hit the Google Play Store. We’re talking about Limbo, a game from independent developer PlayDead. It’s not a Tetris or Dots type of puzzle game, mind you, but it is a puzzle game.

You’re put into the shoes of a boy whose job it is to find his lost sister. The problem is he woke up in a strange forest that doesn’t seem to take too kindly to, well, life in general. Deadly traps lay all throughout as you attempt to find your way through each section. Murderous creatures will attempt to go for blood.

The game’s art-style is beautiful. It’s a side-scrolling 2D perspective that represents itself with a very thin color palette — monotone. Black and white. Reminiscent of the old boob tubes from back in the 60s. It’s this shadowy representation that adds to the game’s mystique and atmosphere.

Don’t let the main character — a boy who looks 10 years away from puberty — fool you: this game is not for the faint of heart, nor is it meant for children. It’s brutally gruesome, unforgiving, and borderline disturbing. And it’ll probably be the best $5 you spend on an Android game this year. It’s sitting right here in the Google Play Store so be sure to give it a go if you’re looking for a great game to play in early 2015.

The "Google Phone" sounded too awesome to pass up, so I bought a G1. The rest is history. And yes, I know my name isn't Wilson.

      1. Yeah, it requires some precision jumping and reaction time. Some people can easily control touchscreen games, I can’t. Really fun and unique game though!
