Folks on AT&T with friends and family in Mexico won’t have to pay any ridiculous international calling fees any longer. The company has announced unlimited calling to any phone in Mexico. It’s part of their existing World Connect Value package, a $5 per month feature that allows you to make calls to nearly any country you want at affordable rates.

Existing World Connect Value users will get the unlimited calling to Mexico feature at no additional cost. New users, of course, get those benefits when or if they ever decide to sign up for it.

This comes just a week after AT&T bought one of Mexico’s largest mobile providers, Lusacell. It’s a great first step to improving support for the entirety of the North American landmass and not just the 50 states sandwiched between two fine countries, and we hope more is on the way.
