Amazon Free App of the Day Bundle

If you’re looking for something to pass the time this holiday, Amazon’s “Free App of the Day” deal could help keep you plenty busy. Not the usual single free app or game (which for today, is the classic book How the Grinch Stole Christmas), today only Amazon is extending their offer to include more than 40 apps and games from their Android Appstore (a $220 value).

It’s a pretty huge list and includes awesome gaming titles such as Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Age of Zombies: Season 2, Terraria, Tetris, Worms 3, and Five Nights at Freddy’s. On the app side, you’re looking at Plex, Fleksy (paid version), Wolfram Alpha, Root Explorer, and plenty more.

To get started, you’ll first need to install the Amazon Appstore for Android. After that, you can hit up the Amazon link down below to add all these to your Amazon account either on the web, or open the Amazon Appstore from your Android device and search for them manually.

You’ll want to make haste, the deal is only good for the next 9 hours or so and installing apps from the Appstore can be a slow and arduous process.

  3. Haha, I’ve been grabbing all the free apps when Amazon has these deals. I have 26 pages of apps now. Maybe one day I’ll look through them and find what’s useful for me.

  4. I haven’t used the Amazon App store in a while because it stays open and runs in the background and hogs resources and if you try to stop it, everything you have downloaded with it stops working. It’s really a pain in the butt to have to deal with.

    1. Have you gone into the settings and turned notifications and collect app usage data off? I did that right after installing the app and it hasn’t been running in the background.

      1. Apps from Amazon need to “phone home” to work.

        1. That may be true but that wouldn’t be hogging resources like the person above said, there would need to be more going on.

  5. Root Explorer… Tunein Radio… Plex… I paid decent money for all this.

  6. Thanks Vince to share your experienced with Amazon app store
